How this is calculated
- Hours quoting = RFQs × hours per RFQ. Cost = hours × your shop rate.
- Jobs won = RFQs × win rate. Revenue = jobs won × average job value.
- Hours freed = hours quoting × time-saved %. Extra jobs = RFQs × win-rate gain (in points).
- The two "faster quotes" inputs are assumptions. We haven't found a solid public study measuring how quote turnaround changes win rates for job shops, so start conservative and use your own win/loss history if you track it.
- Revenue is not profit. Extra jobs also need machine capacity you may not have.

- Follow up on every open quote. A reminder at day 3 and day 7 is free with n8n, Make or Zapier.
- Stop retyping prints. Drawing readers like Werk24 pull dimensions and tolerances off PDFs.
- Reuse past jobs. Machine Research searches similar parts you've already quoted.
- Consider quoting software. Take the quoting software picker, or read best quoting software for small job shops and Paperless Parts alternatives.
